Apex Rides 9+

The app is constantly not letting me in for one reason or another. I am having issues regularly which prevents me keeping consistent as you basically can’t use the bike without the app as you can’t see the speed or resistance without the app, which I don’t think is properly advertised when you purchase the bike. The help team are good but it can take a few days to sort out each issue with access to the app.

I’ve had so many issues with the app: not able to log in, having to log in and out multiple times to get any data to load, data not saving and workouts freezing mid session or end of session so no data saves. I’ve tried to cancel my subscription multiple times and not been ‘allowed’ by Apex. Today I was told that not having any background apps running would fix all these issues… well I was told this back in April (it’s now July) and have told Apex multiple times since that this hasn’t sorted the issues. I’m so fed up with telling them to cancel my subscription but they just keep taking the money from my account even though I’m not able to use the app. Considering legal action next as not sure what else I can do.

The bike is great - a really smooth experience for the most part (although changing the seat and handle bar positions is a bit of a faff if there is more than one person using it) - but the app is so poor! It freezes mid-session on a semi-regular basis which means it doesn’t record your workout, and if I take an AirPod out of my ear midway through a session (or it falls out due to me sweating so profusely!) it immediately ends the session which is infuriating! I know it’s a young product so I am trying to be forgiving and patient, and I really want Apex to succeed, but they really need to prioritise some of these issues asap.
