Anxia App Review

This app contains a wealth of information not only on the charity itself, but how to control anxiety. It's very in-depth and gives options for further resources and self-help videaos. I love the Ask Anxia function which is very prominently displayed. It brings back links to further information. However, after I had put in a sample question I couldn't then see how to close the Ask Anxia dialogue box.

A very well written and detailed information page "About Anxiety" including a video further explaining and dealing with anxiety. A page dedicated to Types of Anxiety where challenges such as phobias, hoarding, panic disorder, IBS etc are explained in detail. I like that there are fact sheets for these containing further information which can be purchased for a nominal fee or are free through the app. There are also many links to further resources.

I kept trying to click on the Instant Calm/Donate/Contact Us/FAQs buttons near the top of the page but as the corresponding pages loaded so slowly I assumed these buttons weren't working. Some of the other pages within the Types of Anxiety page were also slow to load. With regards to the menus when I click on Get Help, then Self Care I would prefer this to go straight to the Self-Care options rather than having to click on Self-Care a second time.

Donate button really easy to use and clearly displayed. The Cookie Settings button never disappeared even when cookies were selected/accepted which was off putting.

The painting by Degard is so wonderful it would be nice if that was more prominent within the app and the website.

I feel the helpline number should be displayed a bit more prominently within the app, such as on the homepage rather than the subpage after clicking "Get Help"

One of my favourite functions was under the Get Help, Self Care menu where a video guides you to breathe. The male/female selections for this video were not immediately clear to me. The waterfall clip is great if you like that "white noise" but I like very calming music or the quieter sounds of nature. So perhaps a video with bird song or music would be a great addition.
