Description

Want the ultimate mobile guitar and bass tone studio?

AmpliTube gives you a massive collection of virtual gear that you can use to practice, play and record with world-class tone anytime and anywhere.

Build your own guitar or bass rig with up to 6 stompbox FX, an amplifier and cabinet with mics. Plug your instrument into your iPad with one of IK's interfaces like iRig 2 or iRig HD 2, and get ready to be blown away.

AmpliTube CS gives you 7 stompbox effects, 3 amplifiers, 3 speaker cabinets and 2 mics, a free Loop Drummer Rock groove pack and a 2-track recorder.

You can expand this via a massive library of over 150 amps and stompboxes from top brands like Fender™, Ampeg®, Orange®, Mesa/Boogie®, and many more, or unlock the rigs of your heroes with gear from Slash, Dimebag Darrell, Jimi Hendrix, and Brian May.

Ready to hit the stage? AmpliTube’s Live Mode offers an optimized GUI for live use, with all the settings and controls you need in an easy-to-read format.

Control your virtual rig just like real gear: change presets, trigger FX, loops and more all right from your feet. AmpliTube pairs with iRig Stomp I/O for a powerful all-in-one stage rig, works wirelessly with iRig Blueboard, and supports other MIDI controllers as well.

AmpliTube also offers innovative ways to play, practice and record with an optional Looper, more drum track loops, a full 8-track recorder and DAW-style studio all available for in-app purchase.

Whether it’s at home, in the studio or on stage, AmpliTube is the dream rig you’ve always wanted, in a device that’s always with you!

The Happy Space Invader ,

Does not work reliably with modern iPad Pro

Got this hoping I could use my iRig Stomp pedal board, but it only works about 1 time in 10,m if you’re lucky.

In theory, you’re supposed to be able to connect an iPad Pro via a USB-B to USB-C cable but, in reality, this will only work about 1 time in 10. The rest of the time, the iRig Stomp I/O will not recognise the device at all, and the app won’t let you add/edit pedals.

On the rare occasions it does work, the sound is incredibly tinny and poor quality compared to the desktop app.

If you were planning to use AmpliTube in a gig, reliability is paramount… which is probably why you never see anyone using it on stage (certainly not with an iPad)!

Unusable toy

I've been recording and playing guitar for 20 years. Guitar amp modelling on mac and pc is bad compared to the real thing but the ipad takes it to an all new low with poor audio io and bleed. This program is a toy. Noisy and unrealistic, the irig device does not help. I wasted £10 out of curiosity on the 8 track recorder only to find the send effects ARE NOT STEREO. If I pan a track left, and add send fx reverb, the reverb is only heard in the left channel! What a joke. The graphics are fantastic and I love the touch interface, but sadly it's all a smoke screen. GarageBand is realistically priced and is actually usable and practical for music sequencing. For headphone guitar practice, your best off with a cheap dedicated pod type box. For real fun or anything more serious use a real amp and stay inspired.
