The app doesn’t sync with phone or allow me to manually set time , actually it allows you to do it but the option to save doesn’t work so my time stamp is about 1hr 45 wrong .

Software controlling is very badly written. Camera is good quality a 5mb camera with a good picture.. . Night vision about half what’s stated .. Shame about the user interface for your computer and the app. Both are troublesome in saving options and generating a picture snapshot and setting up email alerts... it’s somewhat erratic in working and saving what settings you want to change that last. It does record video to the onboard memory card , but it’s only 128Gb not big enough for 24 hour recordings. , if I get an email alert I don’t want to troll through hours of video. There’s to much delay and you don’t always get an alert or even get a picture with what’s happening or what’s triggered the alert in the picture. You can download any video, but it’s in NTSC not Pal so can’t play back here in the uk with no option to set for the uk . The play back software / video viewer a separate download doesn’t work either here in the uk. You can’t view or play back any video recordings in the app that are recording to the memory card. I am guessing that it may be possible to view if you pay a subscription, but here in the uk the subscription is in US dollars.

The Amcrest cameras I have are good, ones been in use well over two years, but the best camera is no good without the best software, this app is very far from the best, it’s very complicated, not easy to use, it needs a complete redesign and upgrade, very difficult to use, especially for a beginner, and I’ve been using it for over two years !
I’ve used another camera brand recently, light years better ! Does what it should without using support for hours, Amcrest’s MacBook client app doesn’t work on my MacBook now, as it’s updated to 64 bit, as millions would have, the other brand worked on my MacBook first time, no problem, point is, Amcrest know all about this, why haven’t they done something before now ?
