This app takes 20% from people doing tasks rather than people paying to get the tasks done. This doesn’t make sense especially considering the fact that most tasks are £30-£60 you never see more than £50 working these tedious jobs. I find it important to also note that this app is for people with no training to do simple tasks you want done so if you’re looking for a professional deep clean or a professional manual labourer for cheap someone might complete the task but not properly or to a professionals standards because again not professionals. I would recommend this app to people but definitely with a lot of caution because it’s very suspicious how they think it’s okay to take money from poor people.

Airtasker takes the payment upfront when you confirm a job. However if anything goes wrong there is zero customer service. I had an issue with an incomplete job and they would not reply over a week or return my money. Very stressful.

I have installed this app some time ago. I completed a task but I never got paid. The payment is outstanding by weeks now and long time overdue. I tried more than 7 times to contact support but they never answered me apart from saying I was paid. I asked for transaction reference , payment Id, confirmation of beneficiary bank and sender details but they always refused to provide me with that so that my bank can try to identify the payment transaction. I have asked numerous times about how to make a formal complaint but nobody answered to me.

I feel robbed. The expenses I had to do the task, then the lack of support in receiving the payment for the completed task.

This is honestly an organisation of fraudsters for your own good do stay away. You will work for free and have costs which you will never recover -at least that is my experience with them.
