Description
The AIB Authenticator App enables 2FA (second factor authentication) for your AIB account. The App provides an additional layer of security which will allow you to log in or authenticate critical transactions on your account.
Once you are set up you simply have to enter your password, and then approve or deny the push notification sent to your phone.
Enrolment is easy. Once you download the app follow the steps to register your device. As part of enrolment you may be asked to create a Digital Profile. Your Digital Profile is a representation of identity information and security credentials which will allow us to uniquely identify you so you enjoy our services more securely.

Can’t add card, so useless!
Managed after ages to register, confirm all my phone numbers & email addresses, only for it no to progress when I type my card number in to register it. The whole function of the app is to link to a credit card to authenticate transactions!
App failure after your NEW PHONE
Solution : to unable to authenticate
If you have changed your phone you will need to delete the app
Then re install it from App Store
Then delete cards on app and re-install cards
Then it works fine
(It’s because the app is linked to your old phone ID and not just your phone number
Ie phone number has stayed the same when you changed phones but phone ID is now different so app crashes)

A complete hinderance to business
Wasted hours on calls and trying to complete transactions. This App should have been tested fully before deploying. It demonstrates the incompetence of the tech team they used to develop this. We should be reimbursed for our time lost due to their lack of ability
