Description

Here you will find over 1,200 foods, whether they have are alkaline, neutral, highly acid oder moderatly acid.
You can browse for categories within the app, search for individual foods directly or scroll through an alphabetical list.

You can see at a glance how the food affects your body:

- empty heart = highly acid
- one heart = neutral
- two hearts = moderatly acid
- three hearts = alkaline

The more hearts a food has, the more you can eat as part of an alkaline diet.

This is how the food was assessed:

You have probably already noticed that you can find countless alkaline-acid tables on the Internet that couldn't be more different.

The authors of this app accepted the challenge of creating a table based on the following holistic rules for the evaluation of foods in terms of alkaline nutrition:

- The more mineral-rich and natural a food is, the more alkaline it is
- the more (animal) protein it contains, the more acid it is
- The more difficult-to-metabolize ingredients are in a food, the more acid it is (e.g. gluten, industrial sugar, purine)

In addition, individual foods were researched in detail and compared with various recognized opinions. We did not focus solely on the PRAL value, as this does not pursue a holistic approach.

Why should you eat an alkaline diet at all?

Alkaline foods contain numerous minerals. During digestion and utilization, they donate them to the body and are therefore metabolized in an alkaline way. Highly acid foods deprive the body of minerals. These are metabolized acidic and this has an impact on the pH value in our blood and organs. However, our organism has to keep these pH values constant and so it draws on its own reserves, e.g. in the bones, back to balance the acids. If the body can no longer buffer the amounts of acid, it stores it, which can lead to diseases such as gout (because this is where acid crystals are deposited on the joints).
If you already suffer from gout, please note that you should avoid other foods such as lentils and beans, which, however, belong to the "moderatly acid foods" after the alkaline diet.

Not correct **

According to Dr Sebi, broccoli celery an carrots are not alkaline as they are man made hybrids.
Yet this app gives them a 3 star rating which is top score! Please do your own research

Acid Hearts

I’m the same way you have ranked the alkalinity of certain foods it would be helpful to use this for the acid foods too i.e. 2 or 3 hearts depending on how acid a food is

Every nicknames taken! ,

Inaccurate!

No idea what the source of information for this table is but it’s completely contrary to what I’ve been told or researched. I mean it says lemons and other citrus fruits are alkaline! Yet it’s widely known they are highly acidic! I wouldn’t trust this app!
