What’s New

Version 0.61

v0.61 brings the immersive, fullscreen viewfinder to all iPhone models!

When you capture photos with your device's volume buttons or Camera Control, the viewfinder will expand to fill the screen, offering a unique shooting experience.

To get out of the fullscreen mode, tap anywhere outside of the viewfinder (or just don't use the physical controls for 10 seconds or so).
This behavior can be configured in the Settings menu.

Ionut Ignat ,

A very good find

In 2019 I had the opportunity to test the Panasonic S line cameras and I had the S1R for a week. While using it I came across the 65:24 ratio embedded in the camera’s ratio options. As soon as I took the first couple of photos I was hooked; I knew that the angle of view is a part of me. Because it is a big piece of equipment I ruled it out and I discovered the Xpan/TX1. They are quite expensive so I remained at the cropping method of getting the panoramic images.
Recently a friend of mine rekindled the passion and he sent me a clip of Chris Brockhurst talking about how to obtain digital Xpan like images. In his video he mentioned this app and I installed and unlocked it immed 😁. I used to use the NomoCam app which has the Xpan simulation and I can say “not anymore “. This will be my go to app henceforth.
Nevertheless, I would like to make the following suggestions:
- I would like to be able to save the various processing “recipes”. This comes in handy when the scene is changed;
- I would like to be able to change the ISO. I have always loved ISO 800 no matter the light and there is no logical explanation for it 😁
Thank you for the app and I would appreciate if you would consider my wishes; as long as they can be implemented.
Cheers,
John

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the kind review! More advanced manual controls and processing presets are two things I’m actively thinking about.

In the meantime, please note that the processing settings are saved in the EXIF metadata for the photo, so you can always look those up to recreate a look you like!

If you need an EXIF viewer app, check out EXIF Inspector, another app I made (you can find it by searching the App Store, or going to the “More by this developer” section on the 65x24 App Store page)

At last!

Waited a long time for a developer to produce a decent XPan emulator. There are others, but this one has the best features. Well worth the £4.99 payment to have access to full resolution, auto-cropping and a host of other benefits.
