We are a Sisterhood, reclaiming our power from the collateral damage of addiction. We are a voice for families. The journey with loved ones in addiction is unique. We are walking a path that can seem impossible at times. The two powerful emotions that drive our decisions are love and fear. It is a constant pull between the two without easy answers. Women are the heart and soul of families, and that heartbeat becomes threatened when addiction comes crashing in. Valerie Silveira walked the traumatic path of addiction with her daughter, Jamie, for 15 years until her death by murder. After losing Jamie, Valerie was left with the question, "What now?" She could stay down on the mat or stand up and fight. She chose to fight.

Rather than allowing this journey to define us, we are breaking free from the associated trauma and stigma. We stand shoulder to shoulder, embodying unbreakable courage, determined to shatter the cycle of shame, guilt, and silent pain.
