Organizations & Boards
An organization can be just you, it can be an entire company, or it can be a department within a company. When you sign up, you'll get your own "Personal" organization. Feel free to invite people, create a new organization, or just do your thing.

Organizations
An organization represents an entity such as yourself or a company, and it's a bucket that holds many projects or "Boards".
You can sign in to multiple organizations at the same time, and you'll see them all in your menu.
Boards

A board is a project or goal, and it holds many tasks.
These tasks can be in one of three states:
Backlog - these are things you want to do but not right now
Active - these are things you are doing now
Complete - these are tasks you've already done
Once a set of tasks is complete, the boards is finished, and your goal is complete!
Assigning Work
You can assign users to boards (projects) and to tasks (todos).

Why might you want to do this? If you have more than one person in your organization, you may want to assign work. Someone in your organization may not want to sift through everyone else's task to find what they need to do. So we've made it easy. Each person can see only the tasks they are assigned, and Turnboards remembers where you are so there's no resetting of anything when closing the app. It snaps right back to where you were!

We want you to feel like your just writing on notepad, but you also have the functionality you need to assign tasks and track work. Modern project management software is incredibly complicated - you need a full-time project manager who actually knows how to use the software. While they do offer more features than Turnboards does currently, they are not user friendly - I've tried to use some of the leading project management tools, and it was too much work even for a simple todo list. I just didn't need 80% of what it does.

Turnboards is not comparable to some of the big project management software available today, but it's designed for a different user. It's made for small businesses, non-profits, teams, and individuals. Anyone that wants to keep track of groups of tasks and/or assign work to people in your organization.
