Description
The Truck Charging app extends and gives you access to the Volvo Open Charge service offered to all Volvo customers via Volvo Connect.
Volvo Open Charge service gives you access to charging stations adapted for electric trucks. With this service, you can easily find charging stops when planning your transport missions. Payment is conveniently a part of the service, and follow-up on the cost of charging can be done in Volvo Connect. The chargers in the network are quality-assured and new charging stations are continuously added.
To log into the Truck Charging app, you need to be a user in Volvo Connect with the role Driver or Fleet User. Contact your local Volvo Trucks dealer to get started with Volvo Connect and Volvo Open Charge service.
Available features for the Driver and Fleet user roles:
Find charging station: In the map feature of the Truck Charging app you will get an overview of the charging stations located close to you. You will also be able to use the map to explore new areas and see the availability of the charging stations in that area. A filtering function is available to ensure that you can find a suitable charging station for your truck. The charging stations are visualized in the map so you always know where you can use the Volvo Open Charge card or use the app to start a charging session.
Start and Stop charging session: When the charging station is located and you have connected the vehicle with the connector, you can select the correct connector in the app and start the charging session. To start the charging session, you need to have been assigned to the Truck Charging service in Volvo Connect. Simply select stop in the App when you are ready to stop the charging session, disconnect, and continue your journey.
Charging history: You will be able to see the last 10 historical charging session by selecting Charging History function. Here you find date and time, amount of kWh of the Charging session.
