MOOEV – Mobility in Norderney 4+

MOOEV MOBIL stands for locally rooted and sustainable mobility on the island of Norderney. MOOEV is a play on words from Möwe, Low German: MÖÖV, and EV, Electric Vehicle.

Is there no bus at the moment? Taxi is too expensive? Tired from a long walk on the beach and want a ride home? You want to arrive at the restaurant without the strong north wind ruffling your hair? No problem: we'll pick you up! Simply order your MOOEV MOBIL via app and get in minutes later. Pre-orders are easily possible in the app. Sepcial feature: the app tells you in advance how much it will cost, where you will be picked up, when you are expected to arrive and where the MOOEV is located. Get to your destination safely, easily and conveniently with MOOEV MOBIL.
MOOEV MOBIL uses passenger cars and minibuses (VANs). By bundling passenger requests, we are neither a classic bus service nor a taxi service, but combine the advantages of both, in a new service. The fare per person is therefore slightly more expensive than a regular bus, but cheaper than a taxi!

Our service area covers the whole island, at least the part you can drive on with a car ;). So nothing stands in the way of a trip from the harbor or the Milchbar (westernmost point of the island) to the lighthouse or the last parking lot Ostheller (easternmost point). But we are also happy to drive you shorter distances ;).

** This is how it works:
1) Download and register for free MOOEV MOBIL - App: Simply enter your name, email address and payment details - done!
You can pay with PayPal, Visa or MasterCard as well as with credit.

2) Book your ride: You simply define the start and destination of your desired ride. You can either enter the addresses, select your starting point and destination on the map or select one of the predefined favorites. If you want to travel with us more often, you can also set up your own favorites. This could be your home address or the address of your accommodation on Norderney.

3) Enter the number of passengers.

4) The app will tell you the fare and the pickup time of your ride. After booking, the app will direct you to the boarding point, usually at the nearest street corner.

5) Ride together: By intelligently linking routes, you share our vehicles with other passengers. For each passenger, their personal fastest route is calculated.
The advantages are obvious:
> The intelligent routes optimally bundle the journeys of several passengers with a similar destination. This saves detours as well as reduces traffic on our common island.
> With us you can travel in comfortable vehicles at a reasonable price. The fare is displayed directly in the app when you book.
> We are working on locally emission-free mobility on the island. By using electric vehicles and shared rides, MOOEV MOBIL helps to reduce emissions.
