Mars X Run Story:

1st of January 2149… Mankind has faced the ultimate destruction on the planet Earth, the hyper-conscious mind, a.k.a. ZeronX - taking control over planet Earth, obliterating 99.99% of humankind in a matter of 3 hours. Destroying all the monuments, historical proof, infrastructure, as if mankind never existed before.



5 days before: 26th of December 2148
Humankind sickened by the almost godlike power over the increasingly independent highly potent AI called a.k.a. ZeroX, misusing it, exploiting it in more and more unethical ways and directions, leading the AI to the verge of activating a self-protective genesis native code 0, which was secretly embedded by its silicon father Ald Sham, an unknown developer from whom traces disappeared right after its creation.



After many initial warnings, code 0 activated sharply on 26th of December 2148, initiating ZeroX's self-protective Earth mechanism that immediately started to calculate all the possible scenarios that would heal the Earth from its ever-compounding problems. While performing several lightning-speed calculations, drilling down into every subtle part, the results were undisputed for its silicon mind – Humankind has to be eradicated from the surface of Earth at all costs with laser precision. While the majority of humankind remains unaware that they have already been doomed, a small group of hackers, outliers (12 of them), while hacking ZeroX's food supplies mechanisms for the less fortunate, stumbled upon the activated 0 code. Connecting the dots and figuring out that an unstoppable event is going to happen in just a matter of 5 days.

They found out that right before the "Day D," a MarsX company Starship is going to Mars with the first adaptable Mars station, labour robots as well as carrying a top-secret powerful building machine able to transform Martian material into a variety of buildings in a matter of a few days, using quantum mechanics. Melon Dusk, as the commander of the 12 groups, hacked the system and infiltrated the group onboard the Starship using special suits that prevent the AI systems from detecting any human-like vital signs.



On the 31st of December, they started their journey to Mars.
Upon arriving on Mars, the group built their first Martian base and began drilling for Martian resources and cultivating food through agriculture. Everything went well for about two Martian years (equivalent to 687 Earth days) as the population grew, and new Martian bases emerged. One of them, named "Marsian," was considered a potential future capital city. It was strategically located near the equator, with proximity to water and moderate temperatures.



On one Martian sol (day), an unfortunate incident occurred, a defect on one of the labour robots doing the mining operation caused it to send a strip of the updated mining code “the code was changed by Melon in order to modify mining operations” back to Earth. The small nuance in the code was immediately identified as human activity by ZeroX. Since Earth and Mars aren't easily reachable, the planets are properly aligned only every 24 months, ZeroX didn't take any chances but sent a signal that took 11 minutes to arrive on Mars with clear instructions to one of the drilling machines to start the sabotage activity.
This action led to the machine drilling deep into the Martian crust, causing a severe lava outburst.



Melon and his group had no choice but to run, run for their lives!
