Description

A painting app for all artists, whether you’re experienced or just starting out.
Perfect for creating beautiful works of art or a quick sketch whenever you have a burst of inspiration.
You can also try out ideas and compositions before starting on a new painting in real life, or practise and refine your skills, all without the added cost of art supplies.

• LIFELIKE PASTEL SIMULATION •
The app features live-calculated brushes and strokes, making a realistic pastel simulation possible.
Painting tools include soft pastels, oil pastels, pastel pencils, smudge tool, and more.

• REALISTIC PAPER/CANVAS TEXTURES •
When creating a new picture, a unique, non-repeating paper texture is generated that will interact in real-time with the live-calculated strokes you paint.
You can change the default-generated texture to, for example, canvas, which goes great with oil pastels!

• PRECISE COLOR BLENDING •
When painting, especially with soft pastels, use Smudge or the Cotton Swab to blend and smoothen the colors right on the paper, as you would in real life.
With oil pastels, in addition to smudging, the blending is often done by the pastel sticks themselves (for best results, reduce the force or use a similar or lighter color).

Native support for Apple Silicon.

[NEW] Added “Reset to Default” button to the Scrollable Palette Area menu (to open that menu, scroll the palette to its beginning and click the largest of the three buttons that appear).
[FIXED] A couple of rare user interface layout glitches.
[FIXED] In Work in Progress (Gallery), in some cases, buttons would erroneously be disabled after importing a picture.
[FIXED] Dropping multiple files on the app icon did not always place the imported pics grouped together.

Tres prometteuse

Cette apps est la seule à proposer la technique pastel proche de la technique papier. Certains points pourraient être améliorés:
- Gerer la transparence des calques et leur visibilité
- Avoir un repere du calque actif sur l icone calque
- Selectionner les calques à fusionner

Une application à ne pas manquer !!

C’est vraiment une excellente application de dessin au pastel. Oui, je sais, c’est son nom !! Vous pouvez la télécharger les yeux fermés, elle est - vraiment - gratuite !! On peut acheter des fonctions supplémentaires, mais on peut dessiner et exporter des dessins sans débourser un centime !! J’adore le rendu des dessins, et les palettes couleurs sont somptueuses !! Petit bonus pour les utilisateurs d’Apple Pencil, on peut attribuer un second outil pour le doigt!! Que du bonheur !!

iPastels and me.

After having tested dozens of drawing apps, iPastels is really the best. I do not like working withs sliders to adjust for example the size or the pressure of the tools. Norbyte found the right solution with sizes and pressures buttons. The choice of colors is also very easy. The three available layers are sufficient to handle all drawings case. The latest evolutions of the app make it an extraordinary tool to draw what I want. The result is always excellent and I love to admire all my drawings I made with iPastels even if they are not successful.
Do not hesitate in choosing a drawing/painting app. iPastels is the best!
