Description

The perfect app to run while your phone is in its charging stand at your desk!

Aside from an optional subscription to additionally show the current temperature and weather (to help cover the app author's cost of access to a weather API), Desktop Journey is completely free, and ad-free!

Make your phone's screen useful while you're working on other things by having it show a dashboard of at-a-glance views of the current time and date, and current and upcoming items from your iOS calendar and reminders.

At the bottom of the screen, a hero accompanies you, walking along through various biomes as you journey through your own work day.

A few times a day, an enemy character will confront the hero. You can defeat the enemy by doing a task, from a set that you customize, such as doing a few push-ups, standing up and stretching, or tidying your workspace. Or, just skip the encounter if it's not a convenient time.

- The times of the in-app animated sunrise and sunset (in the "hero's journey" at the bottom of the app) are now synced to the real-world sunrise and sunset times at your location! (Previously, they were hard-coded to 9:00am and 5:00pm.)
- Fixed a bug where the sunset time displayed in the "Next" panel would sometimes not be cleared at nightfall.

v1.0.16:
- Fixed a bug where the "Sunset time" label could appear multiple times after the app was running for 1+ hour.
- Made the calendar day-of-month font bold, for improved readability.

v1.0.15:
- Switched to a new weather API. (Fixes incorrect display of very cold temperatures!)
- Added display of today's sunset time.
- Tweaked UI widget sizings to better take advantage of the display size on modern large iPhones, such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
- Improved the appearance of the clock slightly by adding a border.
