Description

Ascii Table is a simple status bar macOS app.
It displays a clear and easy-to-read ascii character to decimal and hexadecimal look-up table.
Type on the character of interest in the table, and see the conversion below.
Selected characters show an extended description, below the table, where applicable.
Alternatively, text can be typed in and converted to Hex or Dec on-the-fly.

Useless

For me this tool was totally useless. Does not give the ASCII code of the special keys like Return, arrow keys and so on.
And no need to put such a tool in the menubar since it has a very occasionnal useage.
The only positive point: the table looks better in reality than on these ugly/distorted screenshots.

I am sorry that you didn't find it useful.
First, I have to say that I have a lot of people saying that they find it really useful to have in the menu bar. In my day job, I need to refer to an ascii lookup table very often so I also find it useful in the menu bar.
The table does show the codes for Return - either CR of LF depending on its usage.
The arrow keys are not there as there isn't an ascii code for arrow keys.
