Appalling

Can’t believe such an app exists in 2023. Utterly appalling lag (25 mins to enter a debit card to make a payment) and pages simply never loading.

Hi, we can only apologise that you've been having some issues as we don't save 3rd party details. You're able to set up a Direct Debit to save you making manual payments each month. Or, you can save your Credit Card details as a payee on your current account with:
Paying : Person (not a company)
Payee : Virgin Money
Sort code : 40 64 25
Account : 4132 0424
Ref : Your 16 digit credit card number
Please double check your card number, as this is what allocates the payment to your account.

A waste of time

For over a year now I have been trying to get this app to work and still no joy. I have tried the help lines but no use. Now that I am back in the UK I think it’s time to change banks because clearly Virgin are unable to fix this problem. My home address is in Switzerland which is where my Apple account is also registered. At the time of the change from Clydesdale to Virgin people in Switzerland we’re not able to download an update to the Clydesdale app which would have allowed for the change over. I contacted Virgin on a number of occasions and finally lodged a complaint which was upheld. Still whenever I try to match the Virgin app with my Virgin card I get the message, “Ah, that didn’t work”. I am presently back in the UK and my bank has arranged for a new card which I will receive on Monday . I will then try again. At the moment it appears the the Virgin app will not work for customers based in Switzerland.
