People who are red/green colorblind had no idea what was happening in Jets-Bills
The New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills wore bright green and red jerseys, respectively, last night for their game on Thursday Night Football. It was fine and all, and the contrast between the bright jerseys would have been cool, except for one problem -- people who are red/green colorblind had no idea what was going on.
It's unclear how many of these people really had problems seeing the jerseys and how many were trolls who were eager to get in on a joke, but it turned into a full-fledged Internet Thing.
Color blindness affects 1 out of 12 men in America and roughly 1 in 200 women. With no discernible patterns and just blocks of colors on the jerseys, it obviously would be difficult for those people to tell the two apart.
As for the quality of the game, well, people who are color blind didn't miss much.
