L'Olio Del Libano 4+

The app "زيت لبنان" or “L’Olio Del Libano” has been developed within the framework of the project “Strengthening and enhancing quality olive oil chain in Lebanon (L’Olio Del Libano III)” which is financed by the Italian Government represented by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by the International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) Bari, in close cooperation with the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).

The app "زيت لبنان" or “L’ Olio Del Libano” was created to become the ultimate consumer guide to Lebanese high quality olive oil.

The app serves a dual purpose by linking and facilitating contact between consumers and local olive oil millers/producers thus solely promoting Lebanese high quality olive oil.

The app aims to raise consumer awareness on high quality olive oil, consequently increasing the consumption and encouraging local production.

It also provides users with the opportunity to send their feedback to rate the olive oil they had purchased.

APP FEATURES

Mills/Producers
Consumers can log in to the app to search for local millers/producers; Geolocation assists users in searching for nearby local millers and/or producers and they can use the filter criteria according to their interest. Producers can also locate the points of sale for their olive oils.

About olive oils
This section provides ongoing information about high quality olive oil and its production. Users can read about types of olive oils, learn about tasting techniques, and the health benefits of high quality olive oils, in addition to many more interesting facts.

Rating
The rating feature was granted only to eligible users, who can send their feedback on the olive oil they purchased. Any user can become eligible only after answering correctly a questionnaire, which proves his/her knowledge and experience and ultimately allowing them to properly rate olive oil and distinguish the high quality ones from the others following the consumers' knowledgeable feedback.
