Grenzt an Betrug

Ich habe das Buch bestellt und die App heruntergeladen. Die App konnte kostenfrei getestet werden, jedoch erscheint das Abo nicht in den Einstellungen des Handys. Auf einmal hatte ich eine Belastung von 56 Dollar auf der Kreditkarte. Ich habe den Support angeschrieben, dass ich kein kostenpflichtiges Abo abgeschlossen habe und das sie alles löschen sollen. Die Rückmeldung war sehr freundlich, jedoch wurde ich gefragt, was nun meine Feage sei. Ich habe nochmal klipp und klar geschrieben, dass alle meine Abos gekündigt werden und ich will dafür eine Bestätigung. Es kamen nur Ausreden, die Kündigung wurde mir nicht bestätigt. Ich habe nun meine Karte soerren lassen, damit keine Gebühren mehr verrechnet werden können. Die Firma habe ich gemeldet und die Zahlung als Betrug gemeldet. Finger weg von dieser App und allem, was damit zu tun hat!!!

Very good tool to stay on track if you’re serious about implementing changes

Once you decide to go ahead with Lasting Change, you have the option to buy either the personalized book only (you get a digital version plus print shipped within a very reasonable delay) or, at a marginally higher, the book plus a 3-month-subscription for the app.

For me, this implied that, should I decide for the book only and subscribe to the app later, there will be additional cost, so although I am more of a pen-and-paper person, I went ahead with the book/app combo, just in case. The app has a clear structure and seems to be sufficient to stay on track (if you’re serious about change, that is), plus there is an easy option to request additional features (which I didn’t try, but I found it reassuring to know it’s there). Personally, I feel I take things more seriously if I write them down myself, in my own words, with my own hand, so I opted for a paper bullet journal instead - just adds that „contract“ feeling, but again: this is personal preference. If in need for reminders at regular times, the app still is a good option.

Once I was clear about the fact, that I‘d rather track on paper instead of the app, I contacted help@ in order to cancel my subscription to the app at the end of the 3-month-period and got a friendly reply, confirming the cancellation within a quarter of an hour.

My resume: Lasting Change delivered tools capable of guiding towards as well as tracking changes of behaviours and were easily accessible when needed.

Kind of a scam

Like other reviewers, I also ordered a book which is useful, but had no record of an app subscription. I was charged by Effecto and had to google search their customer support email to figure out why I was being charged. Luckily they replied back letting me know the link. I never even used the Lasting Change app.
