Description
The WIDI app is a dedicated application for configuring and setting all WIDI wireless Bluetooth MIDI devices (including WIDI Master, WIDI Jack, WIDI Uhost, WIDI Bud Pro, WIDI Core/CoreX, WIDI Thru6 BT and authorized products such as Kurzweil Air MIDI, Nektar WIDIFLEX, Xvive MD1 etc.).
You can use this application for the following operations:
* Update to the latest device firmware
* Rename device
* Set the transmit power of Bluetooth
* Set the Bluetooth role to peripheral or auto mode
* Set the performance mode for low latency or low jitter
* Set the wired MIDI thru function
* Set the group auto-learn
* Activate the WIDI Master in test mode (red light condition, firmware version v0046 only)
* Clear the existing group connection setting
* Factory reset
* Set up group connection
* Link to online trouble shooting contents
Note1: The group connection function requires firmware version v0136 or higher.
Note2: The group auto-learn function requires firmware version v0166.

Needs work
Very glitchy app. Need to restart app and even respring iOS device couple times to get App to connect and work properly.
App locks up trying to do Firmware Update. No info popups provided in app so you have no idea at all where you are or what status might be.
Finally take the chance of unplug WidiMaster from keyboard, replug, reset iOS Device Bluetooth several times (big song and dance, and not exactly musical pleasure at all!), respring iOS device, etc. Real PITA throughout.
Try replug WidiMaster and reopen app, recognizes WidiMaster but then app locks up again. Restart app no help just instantly locks up again. Respring iOS device yet again. FINALLY get Upgrader Mode popup "please click update firmware and continue", click OK, scroll down to "Update Firmware" (again no info saying to do so, just guess on your own), click upgrade firmware, select version, now get Restart Bluetooth popup and yet again the WidiMaster App is locked up.
Go restart Bluetooth on iOS Device, REPEAT all above and FINALLY get Upgrader to begin process.
Once it begins it finally will complete the process (after 3rd or 4th reboot, respring, restart app, etc). Then you once AGAIN have to reset your iOS Device Bluetooth to reconnect AND restart the WidiMaster App couple times again to FINALLY connect. SHEESH!
WAY too much song and dance. (And of course if you have more than one WidiMaster Device, you get to do the whole freaking dance all over and over again til complete. Sheesh!)
**Also Bad in WidiMaster App:
Touch anything in the app and it will change the setting there with no "Yes/No" option to accept or decline, or Revert to Default etc. So simply trying to swipe scroll the screen it you aren't careful you'll reset something. At least a couple things DO give a popup warning (like BLE role).
These days most folks know not to mess around during device firmware upgrades or you can very quickly brick your device. With the WidiMaster you've no option but to jump off the cliff and unplug your WidiMaster, respring your iOS Device, Restart the WidiMaster app, etc, ALL during the upgrade process, and just hope for the best.
THANKFULLY all still works and the process completes in the end without frying anything but it requires a complete leap of faith to complete the process and far too much fiddle all by guess and by golly.
Sorry Devs, you have some app work to do here.
(Now I guess I can finally try the WidiMasters and see if they work!)
Please fix this app
the bugginess of this app is a huge detriment to this line of products which I had high hopes for. assigning groups simply does not work as a screen is unresponsive on iPhone 12 Pro. App totally broken on 2017 iPad. I was hoping these products would be more set and forget thing, but they often require reprogramming via the app which again needs tons of work, and seems to not have been changed much since similar complaints were lodged a year ago.
again, I’m really rooting for this brand, but this is quite a dealbreaker
