URI Connect 4+

URI is a global network for interfaith collaboration, learning, and resource sharing to end religiously motivated violence and create cultures of peace, justice, and healing for the Earth and all living beings.

With over 1000 community-led groups, called Cooperation Circles, and thousands of members working in over a hundred countries around the world, the network gathers groups of people from different cultures, spiritual expressions, faiths and traditions to work side-by-side for a common cause.

URI CONNECT has been designed to facilitate communication among URI members and to inspire collaboration to advance our collective URI Purpose. The app is a space for creative exchange to spark new ideas, deepen understanding, and grow resources for joint efforts, as we work locally, across regions, and as a global community.

We believe that when people of different cultures, religions, spiritual expressions, and Indigenous traditions work together for the good of our communities, we build lasting relationships that deepen interfaith sensitivities and intercultural belonging while reducing hateful stereotyping and increasing appreciation of our differences, at the same time as we cultivate enduring collaborations that expand safe spaces and our collective security while stimulating our creativity and communities healing.

Features of URI CONNECT include:

Communities: Join other members connected by a shared objective or interest. This includes but is not limited to the URI regional areas and action areas such as youth, environment, violence prevention, etc.

Conversations: Start and engage in Conversations, This is an invitation to talk about a topic, generating more knowledge and collaboration for everyone who participates. It could be a question, a poll, or a challenge.

Events: Promote events and calls to action. Invite people to participate and mobilize.

Ask&Offer: The Ask&Offer feature is a tool for members of the URI network to offer or search for resources and support of all kinds. Perhaps there’s a skill you want to share? Or a venue that’s available for others to use? You have something to offer, create an Offer! If you need something, Ask for it!

Direct messaging: Connect with other members of the network directly through the messaging tool.
