Advertised as free but requires monthly subscription. This is a scam!

Like lots of other companies, we routinely do marketing tests and research, plus we look at customer feedback every day. The message you refer to was part of these tests and full access to the tado° app remained in place without a charge being imposed.

OK till the latest update

Until the recent update this app would have gotten 4 stars. Today they released another update, hopefully this will fix the issues, including the fact that the app doesn't always talk to the unit since they released the long promised update.
This app isn't always intuitive and making changes such as you home Wi-Fi network is unnecessarily complicated.
I do love it when things work well. Being able to turn on the AC remotely is a wonderful feature.
