New version gives me less news

Why did you voluntarily give up one of your strengths?
You’ve updated the app & now require that I filter the feed using known interests. I understand the potential benefits of customization. But now you’re preventing me from learning about topics that I don’t yet know about. This is one of the reasons that I use your service.

You could consider filtering in reverse. Send me everything, yet allow me to exclude certain feeds. Perhaps I don’t wish to follow sports & entertainment via Reuters. But I did appreciate learning about the unexpected.

Sadly, for me, you’ve just given up one of your, former, strengths.

What have they done? Hate the new app!

Used to be my favourite news app, clean and lean. Headline page of five or six articles. Then the feed, constantly updating. Easy to scroll down pick then a well written article. A natural way to scan and select the articles of interest. Five or six articles to be seen in the screen could be easily scrolled and view more. Similar to the way one used to read a newspaper page. A quick scan to find what you’re interested in.
I began my daily news binge with Reuters. Soon as I read they were updating the app, I feared the worst. Sadly, I couldn’t imagine how bad it could be. A bloated behemoth. Difficult and slow to use. Lots of big photographs with a little bit of information and thus boring and cumbersome to scroll. Way too many redundant sections with often blending of articles. Now a long way behind google news and Flipboard, which they badly tried to copy. Personalized? I wish I could personalize it back to the old one. Sorry Reuters news app, you’ve been moved to the back. Sad, as a certain president is wont to tweet. Sad, because Reuters really is a great news agency.

Bring back the old version

I avoided updating until recently. What a disappointment! Bring back the old version PLEASE.
