Description
The goal of Read Scripture is that everyone would read the Bible for themselves and discover the truth and beauty of God’s Word.
To this end, we are curating a year-long Bible reading plan and supplementing the reading with amazingly creative videos (produced by our friends at the Bible Project) that explain every book of the Bible, major theological themes of the gospel, and tips on how to read the Bible.
We house all of this content in a beautifully designed app that is available to download in the App Store.
We encourage you to experience Read Scripture in community but it is set up so that you can go through it on your own.

Pleasantly surprised
I had downloaded this app expecting to find just a simple checklist of passages to eventually cover the whole bible; that would’ve been fine. But not only does this app do that, its extra touches add to the whole experience. The VIDEOS, especially, are so professionally made, engaging, and comprehensive. I don’t personally use this app to read (I read separately), but I can still say with confidence that it’s my favourite bible app. It’s completely free, too :’)
Amazing app, but recurring hiccups
I’ve been using this app for a year now. I love it: the organization, the videos, the visuals are all are incredible.
My one complaint is that every few months, my progress disappears. The perfectionist in me then has to go through and re-check all my completed readings. It’s annoying.
Best Bible App
This is easily the best Bible app for someone who is looking to see what is all about. I haven’t finished the whole thing, but this app is engaging, simple and easily approachable. Do yourself a favour with all your spare time and go through the Bible with this app!
