Due to instability issues caused by the server change of Neostudio, we have re-released the previous version of Neostudio as version 2022.
- Changed server storage.
- Errors occurred on the newly updated cloud server, so we have rolled back to the previous server.
- As a result of the rollback, the mini app function has been excluded.
- Some adjustments have been made to the login screen.

Use the Moleskine app instead
The default Neo apps have long been terrible and very unsupported. The latest issue with the previous version of this app losing data is really just icing on the cake. I have several Neo pens and enjoy using them but hate using these Neo apps. It turns out that the Neo pens all work fine with the Moleskine Notes App, so I’ve started to use that and I recommend you do, too. It’s much better designed and functions dependably. It’s actually quite pleasant to use. The only drawback is that the pens will only work with the Moleskine branded “smart tools” notebooks (Moleskine sells a version of the Neo pen called the Moleskine Pen+). So go grab that app and leave this one behind as a terrible, painful memory.
