Download the Premis app for use with the Premis Touchscreen Smart Lock, made by Kwikset.
This app will guide you through the installation, set up, and overall customization of your Premis Smart Lock. This lock and app will work with the Apple HomeKit platform so you can use your iPhone, iPad, or iTouch to control and manage your lock!
• Siri® Voice Control – Lock and unlock your door using Siri voice commands. For example, “Siri unlock my front door.”
• Remote Access – Control and monitor lock status from anywhere using the Premis app and Apple TV®.
• Lock Monitoring – View lock activity, history, and status notifications when lock is used via the Premis App
• User Code Management – Easily send, add, delete, or disable user codes. Schedule access for certain times/days.

This app is garbage it does not work it constantly kick you out and tell you that a whole bunch of error messages to thumbs down
Don’t buy this lock
Stopped working after iOS 13 and it took them months until the developers fixed the issue. With this level of support and incompetence this was the last time I bought anything from Kwikset
No updates for 2 years! Doesn’t work in iOS 13
When I first bought this lock, I loved it! I bought 2 locks and recommended it to friends. Sadly, there have been no app updates in 2 years, and now it’s completely broken in iOS 13. I can’t even use my wife’s phone on iOS 12. When I launch the app, it thinks I’m trying to setup a new lock.
Clearly, the company doesn’t care about customers. OS updates happen all the time and software companies should at least do regression testing on their apps, even if they’re too lazy to enhance their products.
Their web site states that:
”Our team is working to address the issue in iOS 13, please use the Home app to continue to manage your Premis locks.”
They have no clue how their app or HomeKit works. You can’t “manage” the lock from HomeKit, you can only open or close the lock You can manage users or access. They don’t seem to understand that this negative customer experience due to their lack of proactive testing will impact sales of their other locks, smart or traditional. Very disappointing.
