The Plume Home app brings together WiFi intelligence, security and easy management of your network and household to increase your connectivity experience. Unlike other mesh WiFi systems, Plume fine-tunes your network for peak performance—blocking interference, allocating bandwidth appropriately to all your connected devices, and prioritizing speed to live apps like video conferencing and streaming. All managed through a single mobile app.

- Simple setup
In a matter of minutes you will be able to add all your connected devices and ensure extenders are properly placed around the home for optimal coverage.

- Profiles and groups
Create user profiles for each member of the household to assign devices to them or even assign devices to groups like ‘light bulbs’ or ‘living room’ to easily manage them. Use profiles and device groups to set security policies, schedule Focus time, apply Quick Timeouts, and optimize bandwidth with Traffic Boosts—giving you better control over online time and network performance.

- Traffic Boost
Prioritize your network how you want to. Choose to make sure specific applications, profiles, devices, or whole app categories are first in line for bandwidth. Feel confident that your video meeting, live TV stream or gaming session has what it needs. Want Plume to handle it? Plume Home’s default Automatic Mode will prioritize any live traffic.

- Home security
Protect your devices from cyber threats like malware and phishing. No one home? Prioritize the network for security devices and applications like smart locks and cameras, and get instant alerts for any unusual activity. Use Motion to detect any movement when the home should be empty.

- Parental controls
Set predefined access profiles for kids, teens, or adults to automatically filter restricted content. Schedule Focus time to pause connectivity for specific profiles, devices, app categories, or the entire network. Need a quick break? Instantly restrict internet access from the home dashboard with a Timeout.

What’s changed:

New and improved design
Plume Home has been redesigned to create a more intuitive set of information and controls for your WiFi network.

Home dashboard
Your new home screen summarizes how you can get the most out of your WiFi network. Once your setup is complete, you can easily manage active features and view a real-time activity feed of what your network is doing for you.

Improved user experience
Enhancements to improve feature engagement and accessibility including support for dark mode.

Groups of devices
Group devices for easier organization or categorize them however you like. For example, separating work versus personal devices to ensure each performs at its best when you need it.

Traffic Boost
Formerly Network Priority, we’ve added the ability to prioritize individual applications on the network. Manual boosting of devices, profiles and app categories is also available.

Focus schedules
The previous “freeze schedule” feature has been improved to let you pause the internet not just for home devices, but also for profiles, app categories (like streaming or gaming), or individual applications.

Improved setup and feature guides
We've added new screens to help you troubleshoot common onboarding issues, plus tips to optimize your network setup based on your home's size and layout. When you update or launch Plume Home, you'll also see helpful explanations of how to make the most of new features right away.

Network performance ratings
Devices and extenders are now rated from Poor to Excellent based on WiFi signal strength and data transfer capability.

Content filter settings
We updated content filter tiers to Restricted, Moderate, Light, and None. Your previous settings for content will transfer to the new tiers in Plume Home.

Renamed from Sense.

Why drop SmartThings support?

I have used this app for years for my SmartThings smart home. Now they drop support without anything on the interweb indicating why.
I’m not sure if I’m made at Plume or SmartThings.. but with both companies, the customer is not the concern.

I’ll find something better

Just let me log in via ip address!!!

Pros:
- only has pros if you do not know how to use a regular router’s settings (via ip address) to manage your network… because it takes away your ability to truly manage your network (assumes you are incompetent) by removing your privacy, monitoring ALL your data/connections transmitted, and then it chooses what should be done (without your input)—so if you don’t like to think for, and inform, yourself, then this is for you—because fine tuning is not available it seems!

Cons:
- prevents true customization
- blocks web-addresses for “unknown reasons” despite me knowing they specific to streaming—meaning Plume is content filtering via websites commonly known to provide steaming links!!
- monitors and shares all (ie everything) traffic with Plume and they imply that to disable means your devices will be left with ZERO firewall protection!?!
- can’t login directly to router/modem directly via ip web address
- no true device manual supplied (only poorly explained ‘user guide’ for app!
- after testing the ‘device’ freeze ability, it is poor at best
- can’t select wifi network, whether 2.4g or 5g, to use, specific to each device you choose
- internet drops (tech says it’s “learning” usage) so this may go away??

Always logs me out and for some reason isn’t working right now at all
