Description

FRITZ!App Fon connects with your FRITZ!Box via WLAN so that you can use your telephone at home via the fixed-line network and the Internet. Once FRITZ!App Fon has been started, it automatically runs in the background, making it easy to take incoming calls while other apps are running, or even during standby operation.

Once FRITZ!App Fon has been started, you can make calls with your iPhone, iPod or iPad directly over your FRITZ!Box, just like with a cordless handset. Incoming calls are displayed automatically. To make an outgoing call, open FRITZ!App Fon and dial the desired telephone number via the telephone book. To listen to new messages on the FRITZ!Box answering machine, press and hold down the "1" key.

Like the option to call over my cell in the land line. Unfortunately does not work with overseas coads…

If you are abroad, you can set up a VPN connection to your FRITZ!Box at home so that you can also make calls via the FRITZ!Box with the help of the app. You can find responding instructions here:https://en.avm.de/service/knowledge-base/dok/FRITZ-App-Fon/251_Setting-up-FRITZ-App-Fon

Changed the app appearance

I was making a call andichte next day I tried again but couldn’t see the keypad anymore ... checked it was updated and I can not download the old one because I gave the older frotzbox 7270 v3 I run as
Router in Canada ... good product to avoid to buy when they change things like that ...
