You must own a Synology NAS or NVR to run this app, and be running the latest Surveillance Station 9.2.0 to get the complete set of features.
DS cam makes it possible to monitor and receive alert notifications from all your surveillance cameras set up on a Synology DiskStation. Smart features such as PTZ, patrols or lens control allow for perfect control of your cameras in real-time, while advanced filters make it easy to pinpoint any specific event from large lists of recordings. You can even perform all essential management tasks, from disabling a camera to unlocking and deleting a snapshot.

Ratings and Reviews
Good function but having problems with the latest iPhone
Function wise, this app is quite good. But the developer needs fix it to get it to work with iPhone 12 series. It will crash and cause the iPhone 12 to restart when jumping back to view events. Using the same app version and IOS on my older iPhone 6s didn’t have this problem.

Work sometimes, buggy more time
this app works sometimes, but it is hard to believe this is an official app released by synology, since customers pay quite a lot to the synology hardware expecting good software support of it.
on my iphone (all the versions of ios in the last two years, but much more frequent recently, currently ios 16.3.1), this app frequently failed to playback past events, it can view the live stream, but when click on a specific camera, a white spnning icon then over a blurred camera view, and never get out of it. I tried open the synology side via webbroswer, which is fine. therefore the issue is with this app.
tried logout and re-isntall the app, all not work, still not playback. it also often exit the app all of sudden.

Works sort off
App is ok but with Surveillance
Station it is full of bugs. Notifications are delayed beyond reason. Tech support is not there or doesn’t resolve issues. Stay away.
